Water path and cross – Concept

Monastery gardens are characterized by their clearly structured order and tranquility. Whether herb gardens, vegetable gardens, simply green areas or with flowers, the shape is usually that of a cross, but always with water in the middle.

A path leads through the middle. A gravel path crosses the middle at the surface. Green spaces invite to linger – chairs to sit. In the depths where only the sound of water can be heard, the sky opens.
