Vellau, high above Algund is in many ways an extremely interesting place and is therefore often chosen as a day trip destination, both by the local population and by the tourists.

On the one hand, the place is one of the sunniest places in the country, the farmers tell that despite the altitude the ground never freezes there, on the other hand, you can enjoy a magnificent view over the Etsch Valley into the southern Dolomites.

Only children had no opportunities to occupy themselves. So the municipal administration and a private landowner decided to solve this problem.
